Academic Advisement
All students have an assigned academic advisor, who will help you select those courses that are most consistent with your academic and professional goals.
In order to register, all students must obtain the signature of their assigned advisor. Without it, the registrar will not be able to enroll you officially. You will also need your advisor’s signature to add and drop courses. (If you add courses during the late registration/drop-add period, you will also need the signature of the instructor who teaches the course(s) you wish to add.)
Advising hours take place during the registration and add-drop periods. It is highly recommended that you sign up for your courses as early as possible to ensure that your advisor has time to see you and to ensure that you can sign-up for the courses you wish to take. Keep in mind that the University has no obligation to add additional sections of closed (filled) courses. So enroll early to avoid this problem. Students who register late often must take alternate courses. (In general, room size defines the maximum number of students per class. However, some classes that require more student-instructor interaction have lower limits).
Advisors are assigned as follows:
Faiz Zoubi, Ph.D., Associate Regional Dean
Jacqui Taylor-Basker, Ph.D., Program Chair
Raed Abu Zitar, Ph.D., Assistant Dean
