NYIT Amman Students at the 49th Global Commencement in New York
NYIT's 49th annual commencement held on Sunday, May 23, 2010, was a global event celebrating the university’s 4,000 graduates. More than 12,000 guests – some traveling from as far as 7,000 miles away – gathered at NYIT’s Old Westbury, N.Y., campus to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2010, which comprised undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctoral degree candidates. NYIT-Amman had 21 graduates from its Bachelor’s and Master’s programs joining NYIT’s global commencement during a ten-days-stay at the Big Apple. NYIT-Amman students and their companions stayed at the 5 stars Hilton - Time Square, where it provided easy access to New York City. They had a few scheduled activities that included a full day of adventures at Six Flags amusement park; A full day at Woodbury Common Premium Outlet where shopping was at its finest, and a chance to attend one of Broadway’s all times favorite – The Phantom of The Opera. They also enjoyed touring New York by The Double Decker Tour Bus, and had tickets to visit a multiple number of New York’s legendary museums, The Empire State Building, and the infamous Statue of Liberty. It was one-of-a-kind opportunity, where it didn’t only mark joining 4,000 graduates at the global 49th commencement at NYIT’s mother campus, but also a superb chance to visit one of the most amazing and leading global cities in the world – New York. NYIT-Amman organizes this trip annually. Stay posted for the upcoming trip if you wish to join us in this marvelous experience. |
